A BOON TO FARMERS.

THE E.M. LEO STRAP. Great interest was evinced at the Summer Show in the E.M. Leg Strap, with patent hook, by large numbers of dairy farmers from all over the North Island. Every farmer knows the troubles which have always been experienced with the ordinary leg rope, more more especially with a troublesome, restless cow. The E.M. Leg Strap does away with all the troubles of leg-roping, and is very simple. Briefly explained it consists of a metal holder bolted firmly to the back of the rear upright between the hails, through which passes the strap with the patent hook attached. The hook end of the strap is put on from the back inside of the leg, just put around and hooked on, and at the same lime the strap is placed in the second hook, .thus making it absolutely secure. When properly fixed the E.M. Strap cannot be kicked off, as the hooks are left and right hand. To remove the strap one merely lifts it out of the second hook and it is off.

The saving in time is enormous, and it has been amply demonstrated that three cows can he hooked up by the new method whilst one was log-roped in the old-fashioned way. The cost of the equipment is very little, and makes an up-to-date addition to any milking shed. Those who were not able to book a set at the Show, can procure same by communicating with Mr E. F. Murphy, Victoria Avenue, Mt. Eden, Auckland.
