FAT STOCK SALES. (By Telegraph—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. Alfred Buckland and Sons, Ltd., report:— To-day at our weekly Westfleld fat stock barket we penned beef to the number of GO7 head, comprising 482 steers, 123 cows and heifers, and 2 bulls. The demand was not so keen as last week, and values were lower, plain cattle suffering the most. Extra choice ox sold at £1 13s per 1001 b, choice and prime ox £1 9s to £1 lis, ordinary and plain ox £1 5s to £1 Bs, prime young cow and heifer beef £1 (is to £l. 10s, ordinary cow beef £1 Is to £1 ;is, rough beef 7s to 15s, extra heavy prime steers ranged in price from £l4 10s to £ls 15s, heavy prime steers £l3 to £l4 ss, lighter prime steers £lO 10s to £l2 10s, light prime steers £8 5s to £9 15s, unfinished and small. £0 12s Gd to £B, extra heavy prime young cows and heifers £8 9s to £lO, heavy prime young cows and heifers £6 15s to £B, lighter £i lo £('• 10s, other cows £1 7s 6d to £3 15 s.

LONDON WOOL SALES.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, have received the following cablegram from their Condon house under date 16th instant.: —There was a full attendance of buyers at the London wool sales. Competition was keen from Home and Continental buyers. Prices compared closely to preceding series and are higher by about JO per cent, for merino, fine crossbred, coarse crossbred, 10 to 15 per cent, fur medium crossbred, and 1{ lo 10 per cent, for slipc crossbred.
