THE ROTORUA TOURNAMENT. By Tele graph.—Press Association. BOTORDA, Wednesday. At the Rotorua golf tournament in '.the championship matches Biron (Shanghai) beat Troutbeck, 4 and 2; H. B. Lusk (Auckland) beat Dolph (Ghristchurch), 4 and &.;; G. Tuck (Rotorua) beat Forbes . (Waiuku), 2 up; T. Horton (Masterton) beat Harding (Matamata), 5 and 4; K. Duncan (Wellington) beat RoMnson, 5 and 4; R. C. Kirk beat J. B. MoEwan, 1 up; Sherrlff (Rotorua) beat G. Harrold, 1 up; A. Duncan (Wellington) beat E. Carr (Rotorua), 1 up. .The best three matches were settled by the last putt, A. Duncan holing out in 3 to his opponent's 4 on a bogey 5. Carr, who is only a fourth year player, gave a fine exhibition of tile game. Kirk and McEwan also gave a good golfing display. Mademoiselle de la Chaumc, a French girl golfer, who is not yet 16 years old, easily won her first two matches in the girls' open championship at Stoke Poges. She amazed experts by her long driving and her mashie pitches. For example she reached the eighth green (330yds) with' a "drive and an iron shot, and the twelfth green (400yds) with two wooden club shots. ;N.Z. LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP.
