FARMERS DAUGHTER ATTACKED
A few days ago, whilst Miss Alice Johnson, the 18-year-old daughter of Mr J. W. Johnson, Fen court, was feeding calves she was attacked by an eleven months old Jersey-Ayrshire cross heifer, and although she was armed with a stick, widen, she applied freely, the animal rushed in on her and inflicted a severe on her leg, which required a number of stitches. The animal's horn narrowly missed the main artery. Miss Johnson saved herself from further injury by throwing herself flat on the ground and rolling out of ils way, but upon her trying to rise, the heifer made another attack. Mr Johnson. however came on the scene and drove it away-. At latest advices Miss Johnson was making good progress on the road to recovciy.
