NOVEL MEETING PLACE.
THE PHRASING OF THE FUTURE.
The members of the Waipa County Council took full advantage of yesterday’s bright sunshine. With Council Chambers dull and drab, after lunch the Council repaired ;to the open air at the rear of the main building, and there carried on its deliberations until conclusion. This is rather an unusual happening in -the operations of local body meetings. If continued, as it well might be, when King Sol is on lengthy duty, the reports in future might be introduced along these lines: “The chairman opened the disou-ssion with
bright glare in his eyes, but having the advantage of a light -breeze in his words. . . .’’ “Cr. started well,
but was obviously affected by the holding nature of the turf, and promptly subsided.”
