ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Friday. At the Inquest on Roderick McLean, who was found dead on the steamer Mararoa, the coroner found that death was due to poisoning, self-adminis-tered. Deceased was a single man, a labourer, of no fixed address. CHfUSTCHUBCII, Friday. Hugh .Findlay, aged 43 years, a bottle dealer, was charged before Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., to-day, with attempting suicide on June 12. SubInspector Simpson said the accused had a disagreement with his wife, and went out to the chaff-house, where his wife found him suspended by a rope. She got him down and he seemed to be none the worse for the experience. He was drunk when the police arrived. Accused was discharged, -but was ordered to take out a prohibition order against himself,
