HAWKE'S BAV INQUIRY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. HASTINGS, Saturday. An inquiry was held to-day on the alleged inconsistent running of Kilbird at the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's meeting. After taking exhaustive evidence a decision was reached that there was not sufficient ground for the stewards to take action against anybody concerned. Inquiry was also held on an allegation that Barrier's jockey in the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's Final Handicap handled his mount in an improper manner. It was decided that there was no justification for the allegation.
