N.Z. ' TOURING TEAM. GRANVILLE DEFEATED. United Press Association. SYDNEY, June 23. The New Zealand Association football team defeated Granville by 3 goals to 1 after a lively game, which showed the visitors in aggressive mood. In the first spell the New Zealanders, with the ball at their toes, repeatedly invaded their, opponents' goal area, but excellent defensive work by Leadbeater and Doherty kept their g"al intact. Thomas, in an endeavour to clear his own goal-mouth nested Hie ball. At half-time the scores v.ere: Granville, 1 goal; New Zealand, 0. Balk, Campbell, and Dacre combined effectively in the second half fjr the visitors, and Campbell equalised the score. Dacre then dashed through and found Granville's net with a Tiaendid shot, and Campbell shortly afier added another goal. When Granville previously beat Now Zealand by 3 goals to 1 the visitors had just stepped from the boat. They showed considerably improved form on this occasion.
