WAIKATO WINTER SHOW.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE WEEK. MEETINGS AND DEMONSTRATIONS. A comprehensive programme of meetings, demonstrations, lectures and other subsiduary attractions has been arranged for Show Week, and in addition to the fixtures already made several other functions will be arranged later, including lectures on poultry by the Government experts. Following* is the programme as now drawn up:— Tuesday, May 29.—Opening of Show. Wednesday, May 30, —11 a.m., calf judging; 2 p.m., lecture and demonstration on Jersey cattle; 2.30, meeting New Zealand Co-op. Dairy Companies’ Managers’ Association; meeting Pig Breeders’ Association; meeting dairy companies on Dairy Control Bill. Thursday, May 31.—Conference re railway time-table (not definitely fixed); 10 a.m., lecture and demonstration on Ayrshire cattle; 2 p.m., New Zealand Dairy Companies’ shareholders meet.
Friday, June I.—lo a.m., conference New Zealand Dairy Companies’ managers; 2 p.m., lecture on Friesian cattle; 7.30 p.m., meeting Shorthorn Society. Saturday.—2 p.m., Hamilton Kennel Club’s Show; 2 p.m., lecture on Milking Shorthorns. Monday.—Hamilton Kennel Club’s Show; 2 p.m., demonstration on dairy produce; Association football competition, Auckland v. South Auckland, Brown’s Shield.
