WINTER SHOW TOURNEY. TO-DAY’S PLAY. HAY WINS MEDAL COMPETITION. Play in the Winter Show competitions began at St. Andrew’s this morning. In the Championship competition the results.so far as completed when the Times went to press were as follows : Simpson beat Wells, by default. Lusk beat Nicoll, 1 up. D. Banks beat Dr. Blundell, 2 up. Marlelli beat O’Callaghan, 1 up at the 20th hole, after an exciting contest. The Medal Handicap was won by D. Hay,' who played a steady and con-' sistent game throughout, with a net score of 75. The scores in this competition wore as under:—
