TUHI TO BE EXECUTED. yam » EXECUTIVE'S DECISION. NO REASON TO INTERVENE. By Telegraph. —Press Association. DUNEDIN, Thursday. An Executive Council was held by the Governor-General this morning, to determine finally whether the death sentence of John Tuhi, for the murder of Herbert Henry Knight, should be carried into effect. At a full meeting of the Cabinet held in Wellington recently, after careful consideration of the Judge's report and the evidence, it was decided that Cabinet could find no reason why the sentence should not be carried into effect. At this morning's executive meeting, His Excellency Viscount Jellicoe con-? curred in the advice tendered by the Cabinet, and it was accordingly determined that the sentence should be carried into effect.
