BIG BUSH FIRES

EXTENSIVE AREAS SWEPT.
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) SYDNEY, November 21. A fire has been raging- for.some days In the Piilaga State Forest, The damage to timber is already estimated at £IO,OOO. Many wild cattle infesting the forest have been burned. Bush fires are sweeping wide areas of pasturage, crops, fencing and various parts of the State, and damage is heavy.
GRASS AND CROP FIRES.
A CYCLONIC STORM
(United Press Association.) Received November 22. noon. SYDNEY, November 22
A grass ancl crop fire is reported from the southern districts. It is raging along a 25-mile frontier, and the reflection is seen at Wagga, seventy miles away. A number of properties have been laid bare, and 20,000 acres have been burnt, Out-, breaks are reported from other districts. * !
A cyclonic storm is reported from Werris Creek, seriously damaging the telegraph and telephone services. '
A dust storm, at Broken Hill capsized a sulky, but the occupants escaped injury. The racecourse grandstand was unroofed, and other damage caused. ' (-
