PHILADELPHIA, September 2 The coal strike i=s- over, the anthracite operators and miners h.i’dng agreed to resume mining on the eld wage -’eale which is extended to August 31, 1923. The coalminers’ strike in the United States began in April last, and brought almost all mines in the country to a standstill. The chief cause of the dispute was the refusal of the owners to renew the national wage contract and their insistence on State agreements in its place.
