REVOLT IN SIBERIA
RISING OF COSSACKS. MEAGRE NEWS AVAILABLE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) TOKYO, September 1. Confidential code dispatches from Siberia state that Trans-Baikal Cossacks rose yesterday, inaugurating the revolution predicted on August 8. The commander representing the proposed new Government left Vladivostok for the interior ten days ago. The Cossadks rose somewhat prematurely, but the bulk of the Chita army is expected to kill the commissary officers and join the revolutionists within a few days.
Neither Seminov nor any other of the reactionary leaders were invited to join the movement. No Press dispatches regarding the Cossack revolt have reached Japan, and definite news is not expected for some days, while Chita retains central communications. — (Reuter.)
