THE RELEASED ALDERMEN
NO PROPOSE GIVEN. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received October 13, 5-5 p.m. LONDON, October 12. The Poplar councillors who have been released assert that they have given no promise to levy a rate. Directly the women were released from Holloway Gaol they motored to Brixton prison to greet the prisoners. As the women reached the prison they raised “coo-ees,” which were answered from inside, and then the men councillors appeared singing “The Red Flag.”
