THE PARKES TRAGEDY
MISS MANN SUCCUMBS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received October 5, 11.45 p.m. SYDNEY, October 5. Miss Mann, who was shot by her father, at Parkes, has succumbed to her injuries. Mann shot himself, his wife and daughter, at Parkes, on September 4. Mrs Mann was killed instantaneously, and Mann died the following day. The police statement showed that the famiTy was not a happy one. It was understood the father asked the daughter to bring some poles from the bush, when the mother interposed. An altercation followed, and then the shooting.
