McCQNACHY-INWiAN MATCH. (Australian and N-Z. Cable Assn.) Received October 4, 9 p.m. LONDON, October 3.
Clark McConacliy, the New Zealand billiardist, receiving 1000, began his first match to-day, meeting Melbourne Inman in a game of 8000 up. Inman was in his greatest form, scoring heavily. The New Zealander began tamely, obviously not-being accustomed to the ivory balls. His best breaks were 50 and 07. The scores at the interval were: McConacliy 13J8, Inman G 67. McConaehy improved after the interval, scoring breaks of 101 and 132. At the close of play McConacliy was 1773 and Inman (in play) 1333. McConacliy will play Newman on November li in London and Rcece in January at Newcastle, and also in February at Manchester.
