COUNCIL AND RATES
♦ NEIGHBOURS' SYMPATHY REPLENISHING THE CITADEL. (Australian and T, T .Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON, October 3. Rev. J. B. Borrill of Islington, against whom a distress warrant for non-payment of rent was issued nine months ago, still withstands the law officers' efforts to besiege his residence. The doors and windows are effectually barred on week days, but the police arc compelled to temporarily raise the siege on Sundays and the neighbours then furnish food supplies.
