RAILWAY OFFICERS
NEW SCHEDULE OF SALARIES.
(By Telegraph: —Press Association.) ' DUNEDIN, Wednesday. The Railway Officers’ Institute Confcienee to-day adopted a new salary schedule for presentation to the Wages Inquiry Board. This provides for a substantial increase in all grades of the service. This is considered necessary in view of the increased cost of living. The question of claims for overtime and Sunday duty and the fixing of definite working hours are now under discussion.
