Howling Steeplechase.—Glcnqninn 1, Mulgawillah 2, Kenerettc 3. There were eight starters. Tararu Jack fell. A great finish ended in a neck victory. Time, 6.561. Grantham Stakes—Mr T. H. Lowry's Killowen 1, Dick Meagher 2, Woora'wa 3. Seven starters. The winner led throughout, and won easily by one and a-ouarter lengths. Time, 1.39^. Randwick Plate.—Mr T. H. Lowrv's Estland I, Prince Viridis 2. Rebus' 3. Lingle also ran. Estland got badly away. Prince Viridis paced from Rebus. Estland and Lingle. The order was unchanged at the bend. Estland moved up at the distance, nnd challenged Prince Viridis, and in an exciting finish won hv a head. Time, 3.30 i Final Handicap.—Publican 1. Cerise Colours 2. Norbuhy 3. There were fourteen starters. The winner led throughout, and won easilv hv two lengths. Time, 1.584. The weather was brilliant, the attendance large, and the going good. Finmark was scratched in favour of Killowen for the Grantham Stakes. and. well-ridden hv O'Shea, never left the issue in doubt, and won easily, heating the favourite. Dick .Meagher. Tn the Randwick Plate Estland, ridden by McLachlan, raptured the spoils for Mr Lowrv in Desert field's absence. After being left at the post he narrowly beat Prince Viridis in the last stride.

Caulfield Guineas.—Eusebius 1, Clever Jim 2, Drummore 3. Eight starters. Tnmic Star had a good lead to the straight, where Eusebius went to the front, and. going strongly, won by a length and a-half well from Clever Jim, who just licit the fast-finishing Drummore. Time, 1.4? A. Toorak Handicap.—Prince Royal 1, Major Bill 2, Panaore 3. There were thirteen starters. • Koorala h-d early, and then Bncklaw. Prince Royal headed them in the last furlong, and won by a short neck. Time, 1.414. The weather was dull with rain after the second race. There was a good attendance, and the going satisfactory. Sauci competed in the Welter, but was never prominent, and finished ninth.

The Debutante Stakes was a great race. Angclia, on the rails, just won. Seratehings: Caulfield Cup: Dick Meagher and for both Cups Christian Brother.
