SHAREHOLDERS AND DIVIDENDS
POSITION IN DAIRY INDUSTRY Owing to some uneasiness having been evinced by shareholders of various companies re the possibility of a further adoption of the policy of non-pay-ment of interest on share capital, the N.Z.D.A. Non-supplying Shareholders' Committee recently drew the attention of the South Auckland Dairy Association to a remark that hail been made at a dairy meeting to the effect that other companies intended to cease paying interest on share capital. To the above the secretary of the South Auckland Dairy Association replied: •'Your letter of July 9th was laid before my executive on Thursday last, and 1 am directed to inform you that those prc-ent were unanimously of opinion that so tar as they are aware there i* no foundation whatever for the remark that other conn :;::ics intend to
adopt the policy of i-1 a-iiig to pay in terr-.-.t on share capital."
