HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL
NEW AGRICULTURAL INSTRUCTOR.
The new agricultural laboratory at the High School has just been completed. The position of instructor in agriculture and dairy science is to be filled by Mr T. H. Patterson H.D.A., who has been appointed to the permanent staff of the schol. Mr Patterson, who is at present instructor in agriculture under the Auckland Education Board, is a young man of high qualifications and wide experience. He began teaching in Sydney under the New South Wales Education Board in 190r>. Subsequently he won a scholarship tenable at the Teachers' Training College, leaving which he took charge of the, agricultural classes at "Yass. From there lie proceeded to the Sydney Teachers' College, and after considerable experience in instructing teachers at that institution, entered for the diploma course at Hawkesbury Agricultural College, graduating with first-class honours in 191 r>. Before coming to New Zealand, some six months ago, Mr Patterson established and conducted large agricultural classes at Wagga and Albury High Schools, in 'the Riverina.
