OFF TO CAMP
LAST NIGHT'S FAREWELL. The farewell of the men comprising ivo. 4 Group's quota to the 29th Reinfo;"eire.its last evening proved a great success, and was voted on all sides as one of the best functions of its kind crguused locally. in the early part of the evening an excellent concert was held at the Soldiers' Club, consisting of vocal and instrumental items, every number being well received by the targe audience. The men then assembled at the Horse Bazaar, an exceptionally large number of the public- being present. Major JoVy preside:!, ard opened the proceedings with a brief address. Addresses of farewell were then delivered by Mr J. A. Young, M.P., and Mr J. R. Fow, the speakers beiug enthusiastically a r plauded.
The men- then formed up and headed by the 16th Regimental lland marched to Frankt: n. Thev wtre accompanied by a la'ge ciowd to the station, where they were formally fare welled, the large assemblage cheering lustily as the train moved out.
