THE FRENCH AT VERDUN
TWO SUCCESSFUL ATACKS. (High Commissioner's Cable.) LONDON, 3.15 p.m., Thursday. The French official report states that on the right of the Mense two attacks brilliantly succeeded such-east of Thiaumont we took several parts of trenches, while 100 prisoners arid two machine-guns were captured. East of Vaux-Chapitre Wood we advanced 100 metres.
