.MR MUNRO'S RESIGNATION. (By Tki.k<;i;ai'ii —Pkkss Association.) CHHISTCHUKCH, Last flight. In eoiirieetion witli the difficulties that have arisen regarding Exhibition affairs, the (lovernment decided at a Cabinet meeting held to-day to effect a change by abolishing the* ollice of the chair of the Executive Commissioners, and putting the Exhibition under (lie direct control of a Minister of the Crown. At a meeting of the Executive Council, the resignation of Mr Munro as* Executive Commissioner was accepted, and each member of the Government was appointed an Executive Commissioner. Ministers will in turn remain in Christchurch while the Exhibition is open and Minister here is required under the Exhibit ion Act to be an Executive Commissioner. For the first fortnight the Hon. A. Pitt will be the resident Minister.
