+ BISHOP NELIGAN'S VIEWS. AUCKLAND, November 11. The King's birthday church parade of volunteers was held yesterday. In the course of a sermon Bishop Neligan said that some of those present would probably live to see every boy an able-bodied man and* called upon to defend the Empire. He referred to the good moral effect of discipline of the soldier's life and stated that eventually some form of universal military training suitable to modern conditions and the needs of Empire would be adopted with proper provision against the possibility of abuse.
