THE LIVE WIRE ACCIDENT
♦ (Br Telegraph—Press Association'.) WELLINGTON, Yesterday. At the inquest on William Wilson, „who was killed by coming in contact with a live electric lighting wire at Miramar on Saturday, the evidence was conflicting as to what brought the wire down. One witness said he saw the wire caught by the furniture van and he called out. but the driver 'of the van and a man behind swore they did not see the wire come down. The jury returned a verdict to the effect that deceased met his death accidentally by seizing a fallen live •wire of 2000 volts on the ground, but that the evidence was contradictory as to the cause of the wire falling on the ground, also that there was some evidence that the wire was " too low.
