A BOATING ACCIDENT.
«. THREE MEN DROWNED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, last night. It is reported that a boating accident, involving the loss of three lives, "occurred down the Estuary at about midnight. A party consisting of Wm. Ball. a?ed 30, Moss Hazleniore (:3«). William Patton (40), Claude Davey, David Hamilton and Ernest Gilchrist, left Invercargill in an oil lannch with a dingey in tow, for Sandy Point, on - a fishing expedition. They anchored the launch off the shore and landed in the dingey. While the party, numbering four, •was returning the dingey was swamped, and nothing has since been seen of Ball, Hazlemore or Patton. The two latter were married men, and leave families of three and four children respectively.
