ACQUITTED OF MURDER.
(By Tbleubai'H.—Puesb Association.) NEW PLYMuLTTiI, This Day. At the Supreme Court, Carl Sehieker, a young Swiss was charged with the murder cf U. Rollins, also a Swiss at Kaponga. The Grand Jury reduced the Count to manslaughter. The defence was that the blow was struck in self-defencs. A verdict of not guilty was returned.
