The following are some of the particulars . Results for the year 1005-G.—Net surplus £788,705, made up as follows: Receipts: Revenue £7,584,359, sinking fund accretion £65,000, other receipts £4O, total £7,650,000 Expenditure: Permanent appropriations £2.870,107, annual appropriations £4,252,233, total £7,122,340; Exeess of receipts over expenditure £527,759; balance, Slat March, 1005, £761,036; transferred to Public Works Fund £500,000 balance from last year £261,036, balance 31st March, 1906, £788,795.

Revenue results, 1005-6.—Estimates f. r the year £7,402,600, actual receipts £7,584,359, excess of revenue over estimate £181,759. Compared with previous year : Revenue 1901-5 £7,282,870, revenue, 1905 6 £7,581,359, increase £301,489. Revenue, 1905-6, compared with the estimate: actual levenue 1905-6 £7,581,359, estimated revenue 1905-6, £7,402,000, excels of revenue £181,759.

The total sum transferred from revenue to the Public Works fund since 1891 is £1,855,000, including £500,000 for 1905-6. Public Works Fund 1905-6.—Total expenditure £1,723,412, balance at 31st March, 1906, £192,299, balance of 1905 loan to receive £182,066, available Public Works moneys to start the current year with (1936-7) £671,385, 30ih April 1906.
