IN BANKRUPTCY.

A meeting of the creditors of George William Graves, of Ngaruawahia, butcher, was held yesterday.afternnon at the office of Mr J. S. Edgecumbp, at the appointed time.: 2.30 p;m. \Mr Rath'borne was elected chairman. As the bankrupt did not put in ah appearance the chairman adjourned the .meeting until 3,30. In the interval the bankrupt arrived. The following creditors were present: Messrs Rathborne, A. Nicol, P. W. Bowman, J. J. Bycroffc, McNicol >and Co.j/and Mrs G. Lamb.' The Chairman read the'bankrupt's statement of assets and liabilities, which were as follows:—Assets: Stock-in-trade, £6lss; book debts, £164 19s 2d—£226 4s 2d. Liabilities: Unsecured creditors,£4lo 15s 7d; deficiency, £lB4 lis sd< The bankrupt was examined on oath with regard to his dealing with a certain piece of land at Ngaruawahia and other matters in connection with his bankruptcy.; alsojn.reference to the claim for rent due to 'Mrs G.' Lamb and the removal of his goods and furniture to other;premises-'beforei filing his petition; It was resolved - the action of the Official Assignee in selling the available assets on the sth inst, be confirmed."
