WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

The ordinary, meeting of the above Council was held yesterday afternoon at Ohau'po, the same members being present as at the statutory meeting,

Next Meeting.—Cr, Allen proposed that the next meeting be'allowed to lapse.— Seconded by Cr. Fawkes and carried. Hamilton Bridge.—A letter was received from the Hamilton Borough Council, stating the amount that was going to be spent on the bridge as £BOO, to be made up as follows :-Government grant, £400; Hamilton Borough, £200; Wnikato County, £100; Waipa County, £loo.—Letter received.-

Tenders.—No 'tenders having been received for fascining at Cowley's Gully, it was decided to extend the time for receiving tenders to Saturday, the 30th inst. ManGAPIKO BRII3GE.-Cr. Finch proposed that if this bridge could be built for £2O they should build it.—Or. Smith seconded.—As an amendment Or.' Mandeno moved that the work be left over until next meeting.-Seconded by Cr. Kusabs and carried, Cr*. Finch and Smich dissenting. Alexandra Cemetery Road.— Mr R. Ormsby wrote asking to have the road to the Alexandra Cemetery formpd.—Cr. Smith suggested that it should be ploughed and put down in grass in the month of February.—Seconded by Cr. Finch.—The work was left for the members of the district to look after. Licensing Account's.—Cr. Mandeno said that the expenses of the members of the Licensing Board had not been paid, and proposed that the .chairman take steps to ascertain whether they coold compel payment of the fees due from the various contributing bodies, and if necessary to take legal opinion.—Seconded by Cr. Allen, and carried.

Leave of Absence.—Mr Armstrong asked for leave of absence for ten days or a fortnight on' account ot ill-health,-It was resolved to allow him a month. This was all the business,
