The question of tno appointment of a President was discussed when it was unanimously resolved to ask Mr James Hume to accept the position. This it was considered would in some measure be a recognition of the services rendered by Mr Hume in various capacities to the agricultural and pastoral interests of the WaikatJ district since its first settlement by Kuropeans. As to the constitution of the association it will ba seen by advertisement in another column a general meeting of members will be held at Ohaupo, on Tuesday the 27th, to discuss this subject, and generally to place the association upon a proper basis.
