A DERELICT.
(BY ELKCTKIC TELKGHAPH.—COPVHIGHT.) Melbourne. July 20. The steamer Murrumbidgee, while in the vicinicy of St. Paul Island in the Indian Ocean, passed thousands of cases of kerosene floating among the wreckage of a large vessel which had the appearance of being charred by fire. It is believed the debris belongs to some Australian-bound trader, and anxiety is felt for the safety of the ship Canora, ninety-one days from New York. Owing to the gale, the Murrumbidgee was unable to take steps to ascertain the name of the vessel.
