The bon. Mr Rolleston left for the North on Saturday. The Tongariro took 10,616 carcases frozen mutton. Monday. Constable G. King, of Tapanui, made a successful raid on a Chinese gambling house on Saturday night. He arrested four men and seized the gambling instruments and money. Final arrangements have been made in connection with the removal of the Public Works Department to Wellington. Today the office furniture was packed away for transmission to that city.
