WEDDING.
A very pretty wedding took place iu the Catholic Church, Wrey’s Bush, on Wednesday last, when Mary Hauora, eldest daughter of Mr and Airs P. Clifford, Clover Hill. Waikouro, was unfted in the holy bonds of matrimony to Air J. T. Meehan. llev. Father Welsh officiated, and there was a large gathering of friends and re-’ lations. After the ceremony the party assembled at the residence cf the bride’s parents, where thy customary wedding breakfast was held'. The usual toasts were proposed, and a sumptuous repast was provided. The complimentary ■ speeches amply indicated the high esteem in which the contracting parties were held by the residents of the: surrounding district. For the ceremony the bride, wore, n beautiful cream silk dress and the usual spray of orange blossoms, and in leaving for the honeymoon a neat grey costume. The party departed amidst a shower of rice and confetti and the good wishes of thoir numerous friends. The presents- received were manv and costly, included iu wdiich were some substantial cheques.
