WANSTEAD SCHOOL

SUCCESSFUL DANCE LIST OF FANCY DRESSES On Wednesday evening ia. very successful school dance was held in the Wanstead Hall, which had been prettily decorated. A competition was won- by Mr McKay, of Waipukurau. The children’s Monte Carlo waltz was won by Ena Stoddart and Bobbie McNutt.

The children in. fancy dress were: — Pat Taylor, Eastern Lady; Peggy Scott, Maori Maiden; Dawn Richards, Butterfly; Margaret Clark, Eastern Lady; Margaret McNutt, 80-Peep; Joan Richards, Soldier Boy; Jean Whitehead, '.Swiss Girl; Ena Stoddart, Poppy; Jean Stoddart, Sunflower; Ada Manly, Fairy; Doris Manley, Dragon-fly. Bobbie McNutt, Chinaman; Leslie Wooster, Drummer Boy; Alex Clark, Chinaman; Jack Hollick, Felix; Goodwin, McNutt, Mickey Mouse.

Among the adults in fancy costume were:—Mirs Davey, Japanese Lady;
