Dairy Grading Fees
A statement that the grading fees charged to dairy companies showed a profit of £3500 for the season was made by the Hon. C. E. MacMillan, Minister for Agriculture, when speaking at a New Zealand Dairy Company social. He pointed out that the arrangement between the Government and the dairy companies was that no profit should be made from fees. Ho had received communications from various companies suggesting that the salaries of dairy inspectors who were also graders should be charged up against the grading fees. He had no intention of altering the systenj. of accounting and the surplus ■<, would he used for reducing the' fees. r. j . r , 5
