ASSAULT ON TAXI-DRIVER

(Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sunday. An assault on a taxi-driver was made by three men who engaged his *

cab to drive to Mission Bay on Saturday evening and robbed the driver, E. L. Anezark, of ten shillings, which was all he had. Two men sat behind and one with the driver, who states that when they reached Mission Bay one of the men in the back seat pressed a revolver against the driver’s ribs and demanded money. The driver gave all he had and was then hit on the head and thrown out of the car, in which the men drove away. The drive:' informed the police by telephone, the car later being found abandoned near the Parnell baths.
