Dowieism.

TURBULENT MEETING. Melbourne, May 29. Local Zionists held a further meeting to give an opportunity to those who dissented the renouncing of Dowie, and to express their views. Deacon Smith, a mild-looking little man, led the dissident party. As Deacon Smith walked to' the platform, Elder McCullagh gave out a hymn containing the words, “ See the mighty host advancing, Satan leading on.” The meeting was turbulent. Eventually, Elder McCullagh declared that be revoked Deacon Smith’s ordination. Reference to Voliva (who succeeded Dowie) produced a wrathful outburst from Elder McCullagh. Elder McCullagh said if it was the desire that he should take charge of the work in the Commonwealth, be proposed an organised effort with the object of sending power to their attorney in America to recover at law £I2OO sent from Australia to Zion City. No further people would be sent from this Country to Zion.
