Ladies' Benevolent Society.

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Ladies' DcucTuißHt euuiecv was held on Wednesday last. Mrs W. H. Nelson (Vice-President) occupied the chair.

Mrs Barkwith reported two eases which she had dealt with, and her action was endorsed. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Bark with for her services during the year. Subscriptions were r.. ceived amounting to £5 14s, and accounts amounting to £2 7s 6d were passed for payment. The election of officers then took place. Mrs H. Burnett and Mrs Crawford were elected trustees ; Mrs Crawford, President; Mrs Barkwith, Secretary ; and the same committee as last year with the exception that Mru G. T. Hall was elected to fill the place of Mrs C. Smith, resigned. Mrs J. H. Mouteith proposed, and it was decided, that maternity eases uhould be assisted through the Ahtrict if required, The meeting then adjourned.
