Pahiatua County Council.
A special meeting of the Pahiatua County Council was held on Saturday. Present—The Chairman (Cr Perry), and Crs Smith, Whitcombe, Whyte, Marsh, Mauson and Bolton. The resolution passed at the ordinary meeting of the Council rr the Mangamaire Boad Loan was confirmed. The Finance Committee, in accordance with a resolution passed at the ordinary meeting of the Council, laid on the table a report on the money available for metalling, and recommended the following allocations, which were agreed to : —Pukemiku Riding £SO, to be expended on Main Boad from Pahiatua to the Dudley Arms Hotel ; Puketoi Biding £65 ; Mangaone Biding £IOO, to be expended on the Tirauraea Valley and Kaitawa Boads; Mangaone Biding £llO, to be expended on Makakahi Boad £3 0, Birnie Hill £2O, Ballance Boads £80; Makuri Riding £75, to be expended on the Main Boad to Bridge and other roads ; total £4OO. This concluded the business, and the meeting adjourned.
