Auctions. FRIDAY, 25th SEPTEMBER, 1868. COUNTRY SECTIONS IN EVANS' BAY. Under the authority of an order dated 11th August, 1868, made by his Honor Mr Justice Johnston, Judge of the Supreme Court, Wellington District of the colony of New Zealand. MESSRS BETHUNE & HUNTER will offer for Lease by publio auction at the Exchange, on Friday, the 25th September, at 2 o'clock, Three Sections of Country Land situated in Evans' Bay, containing one hundred acres each, more or less, numbered re spectively one, two, and three on the plan of the district. Tho three sections will be offered for leaae for a term of seven years, in one block, at a yearly rentil of the highest advance bid upon the upset price of ten shillings per acre annual rental. The lessee will be required to keep the funces between the Town Belt sections and adjoining countn sections in a proper state of repair, and to pay any rates or assessments that may be imposed during the currency of his lease. The rent to be paid half yearly. Provision will also be made in the leaae for the express exemption and reservation of the rights provided for by acts of the General Assembly oi New Zealand and Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, in and in respect of twenty acres of land, purt of section number three in Evans' Bay district, in and when the same shull be required and taken for the purpose of a patent. slip, and for a suitable road or way to such land, if and when taken for that purpose. These sections are situated close to the city of Wellington, they are almost entirely enclosed, well covered with English grusses, and will carry a large quantity of stock at all seasons of tho year. Station, sinmteil nt a distance of 100 miles from the city of Wellington, on the ninin rond to Nnpier and Auek land, containing upwards of 20,000 acres of land; 12,000 freehold, the remainder held under a Government license: bounded on the cast side by the sen, lia» in_ a frontage of fully six miles along the coast, t>e south side adjoins thp run occupied by tho Rev J. C. Andrew, and is completely enclo"ed by a strong six and seven wire fence. the west side is bounded by the Wharenma River, and the north side by tho Tinui River and a native reserve. There is a considerable population in the district, which is increasing rapidly. Cnstle Point is the moft convenient, ouilet for the settlers recently located at tho Moroa farm settlement. All the buildings have been erected in the most substantial manner, end are in nn excellent, state of repair.
