HEALTH STAMPS
PUBLIC MEETING AND SHOWING OF FILM The campaign for the sale of Health Stamps this year will commence on October 3 and will continue until January 3, 1950. The quota set for the whole of the Thames postal district is £2700, which represents approximately 4s from each household. This is the twenty-first anniversary of the foundation of the health camp movement in New Zealand and, by effective publicity and organisation, the Federation of Health Camps aims at eclipsing last year’s record sales during the coming season.
As a preliminary to the campaign, films on the three health camps in the Auckland area are to be shown at a public meeting in the Miners’ Hall, Waihi, next Thursday at 8 r.m., by Mr E. A. Dobbie, secretary of the Auckland district executive. The 16mm. production has already been shown in Auckland, where it aroused considerable interest, and it is hoped that the same spirit will prevail in Waihi and that this interest will be reflected in the sal* of health stamps,
