Over the week-end the club held a tourney to raise funds for the Red Cross Society. The catering was in the hands of Mrs E. A. Wilson and a very capable staff who provided a very nice luncheon and aftei'noon tea which were much appreciated by the bowlers.

During the luncheon adjournment the president, Mr R. Blackwood, on behalf of the bowlers, thanked the ladies for their very fine effort and called for three hearty cheers for them which were readily given. Thanks were also given to the Federal Band which had turned out to enliven the afternoon. Approximately £3O was raised on the day, fifteen teams taking part and the tourney being won by McGonagle's team with Al wins. Details:—
