Owing to trouble which arose at. the Pukemiro mine on Wednesday afternoon between a deputy and a trucker, the miners at the Pukemf.o mine did not start work yesterday morning. It is alleged that one of the truckers was coming out of the mine earlier than was allowed, and the'deputy tried to stop him. The trucker fell and hurt his leg, and the union alleges that the deputy caused the man to fall. The Minister of Mines, the Hon. P. C. Webb, and the Hon. W. Lee Martin are visiting Pukemiro and will discuss the trouble.
