ALLEGED CATTLE-STEALING

(Per United Press Association.) TAUEANGA, Nov. 1. At a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court to-day, Alfred Stewart was charged with stealing a cow and calf, valued at .£l2, the property of a native of Papamoa. After an all-day hearing, accused pleaded not guilty, reserved his defence, and ‘ was committed fox - trial at the next sitting of the Supreme Court in Auckland. Bail was allowed, self in <£2oo, and two sureties of 100 each and one of <£2oo.
