A CYLIST KILLED.

A motor accident with fatal results, occurred yesterday afternoon at Penrose. Arthur John Horton, married, aged 48, was cycling when a motor car travelling at a great rate overtook and ran him down. Although a witness to the accident, beckoned to the driver of the car, lie merely turned Ms head and the car dashed on, leaving the victim in the roadway with concussion of the brain, fracture of the base of the skull, other severe injuries to the head and face, and internal bleeding. The car was not driven by the owner, but had been appropriated by two persons unknown, and was found deserted later at Onebunga. Horton was employed as >a greaser at the Westfield Freezing Works. He died in hospital last night.
