Time, ,2.36 4-5. Spring Handicap—Listening Post 1, Wake 2, La Paix 3. All started. Won by a length. Time, 48 2-sth sec. AUCKLAND R.C. MEETING. SECOND DAT. AUCKLAND, November 12. The Auckland R.C. spring meeting is being continued in fine weather. The course is fast. Results;— Hunters’ Steeplechase—No Surrender 1, Southland 2, Sir John 3. Scratched: Pawerwere. Won by four lengths. Time, 6.25. Gordon Handicap—No Mistake 1, Miss Leslie 2, Valley Queen 3. Scratched: Emerald Hill an Waimokorea. Won by half a length. Time, 1.2. Manakau Hurdles—Benzine 1, Garryowen 2, Entente Cordiale 3. All started. Won by five lengths. Time, 3.16 2-5. Benzine dropped dead on returning to the paddock.
