NARROW ESCAPE OF INMATES. (Per United Prefee Association.) TAUMAEUNUI, July 7. T.' Beaumont’s two-storey boardinghouse at Owhango was destroyed at 3 o’clock Sunday, morning. The inmates had a narrow escape clad in their nightclothes. Some jumped from the balcony. Some women. and two children just escaped'with their lives. The building was insured for .£IOOO. The furniture was not insured. The fire started in the kitchen.
